Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Meet your AMSI guide and prepare for the trek.

Day 2: Rongai Gate to Simba Camp (2,600 m)

A gentle trek through pine forest with possible wildlife sightings. Overnight at Simba Camp.

Day 3: Simba to Second Cave to Kikelewa Camp (3,600 m)

Trek through moorland with open views of the plains. Afternoon rest at Kikelewa Camp.

Day 4: Kikelewa to Mawenzi Tarn (4,330 m)

A steep climb up grassy slopes to Mawenzi Tarn, nestled beneath the jagged Mawenzi Peak.

Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut (4,700 m)

Cross the lunar desert between Mawenzi and Kibo. Early dinner and rest before the summit push.

Day 6: Summit Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Start at midnight, reaching the summit at sunrise. Descend to Horombo for a well-deserved rest.

Day 7: Horombo to Marangu Gate to Moshi

Descend through lush vegetation to the park gate and celebrate your achievement.
